MEAN GIRLS: HIGH SCHOOL EDITION

SPRING 2024: 7TH-12TH GRADE

Please note: The High School Version contains the same material as the full-length version of Mean Girls: The Musical. Because of this, this musical has a PG-13 rating.

REHEARSALS RUN: Mondays & Thursdays 6:00-9:00 PM

FIRST REHEARSAL: Monday, January 22nd, 2024

Due to the nature of the studio renting out alternative venues for performance there are two possible options for tech weeks and performance dates. Please consider that either option may be utilized, and the final choice will be communicated at the start of the rehearsal process.

OPTION #1:

Tech Week: Monday, April 22nd-Thursday, April 25th (approx. 5:00-10:00 PM each night)

Performances: Friday, April 26th (7:00 PM), Saturday, April 27th (2:00 PM & 7:00 PM) & Sunday, April 28th (2:00 PM)

OPTION #2:

Tech Week: Monday, April 29th-Thursday, May 2nd (approx. 5:00-10:00 PM each night)

Performances: Friday, May 3rd (7:00 PM) & Saturday, May 4th (2:00 PM & 7:00 PM) & Sunday, May 5th (2:00 PM)

All registrations for DTS productions are final. Should the registrant be unable to participate no refunds or credits will be given.

FREAKY FRIDAY (ONE ACT EDITION)

SUMMER 2024: 7TH-12TH GRADE

REHEARSALS RUN: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM (Monday, July 15th through Friday, July 26th)

TECH DAYS: Thursday, July 25th & Friday, July 26th (During normal rehearsal hours, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM)

PERFORMANCES: Friday, July 26th (7:00 PM), Saturday, July 27th (2:00 & 7:00 PM) & SUNDAY, JULY 28TH (2:00 PM)

FALL 2024: AGES 12-19

WHAT ARE DOUBLE THREAT PRODUCTIONS?

A DOUBLE THREAT PRODUCTION A CLASS FORMAT WITH A COMMUNITY THEATRE FEEL. IN A DOUBLE THREAT PRODUCTION, STUDENTS WILL LEARN A FULL-LENGTH MUSICAL AT A FAST PACE WITH ADVANCED INSTRUCTION.

ROLES WILL BE AUDITIONED WITHIN THE FIRST FEW CLASSES AND EVERYONE REGISTERED FOR CLASS WILL BE INCLUDED. BECAUSE IT WILL BE RUN LIKE A COMMUNITY THEATRE PRODUCTION, STUDENTS MAY HAVE DOWN TIME DURING REHEARSALS, BUT WILL BE INCLUDED AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. STUDENTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO SUBMIT CONFLICTS AND MISS REHEARSALS AS NEEDED.

THE CULMINATION OF THE SESSION WILL INCLUDE A FOUR PERFORMANCE RUN OF THE MUSICAL, PRESENTED AT AN ALTERNATE LOCATION, WITH TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE.
